Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker leads, Jumanji: The Next Level stays strong

Disney’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has led the weekend box office charts with an estimated $72 million. The film remained at the top spot for the second weekend in a row. The latest Star Wars movie dipped around 59% in its second weekend. The domestic total now stands at $361 million.

Rise of Skywalker brought in $94.3 million from offshore markets this weekend for a $363 million international cume. The film’s grand worldwide total stands at just shy of $725 million. This movie didn’t see any new market this weekend. UK is still leading all international markets with $51.4 million. Disney’s Star Wars will be released in Vietnam next weekend.

On the other hand, Jumanji: The Next Level was on second spot an estimated $35 million weekend. The Dwayne Johnson-Kevin Hart film is trending well all over the world. THe latest Jumanji saw an improvement around 33% compared to last three day. It has now surpassed the $175 million mark in North America.

From international markets, Sony’s The Next Level collected more $61.6 million, pushing its overseas total to $296 million. The film’s global tally now stands at $472 million.
