Sri Lanka name 22-member squad for ODIs against Bangladesh
Sri Lanka named a 22-member squad for Bangladesh ODI series. Sri Lankan selectors have made several changes in the team. The likes of Lahiru Kumara, Niroshan Dickwella, Akila Dananjaya and Lakshan Sandakan are back for the home ODI series. These players were missing from Sri Lanka’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 squad.
They have dropped Milinda Siriwardena, Jeevan Mendis, Suranga Lakmal and Jeffrey Vandersay from the squad that travelled to England for the World Cup. Nuwan Pradeep who did not enjoy Sri Lanka’s full trip in England due to chickenpox, returns to team.
Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga is set to retire after this series. Sri Lanka will host Bangladesh for three One Day Internationals from 23rd July to 31st July.
