Andre Russell ruled himself out of T20Is against India

Andre Russell ruled out of first two T20Is against India, which starts from August 3. Russell, who just returned to action after knee surgery, felt discomfort while playing in Global T20 Canada and informed his unavailability to selectors of West Indies.

It was hoped that all rounder would pass fit for the T20Is after picking up an injury in the Global T20 Canada. Jason Mohammed has replaced the dangerous player. Jason has an opportunity make his first game for West Indies since an ODI against Bangladesh last year. He has not played a white ball game since October last year.

West Indies and India will face each other in Three T20Is and after that they will be meeting in three ODIs and Two Tests.
