Shoaib Akhtar wants Sarfaraz to be removed, suggets Haris Sohail for captain’s role
Pakistani former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar wants current captain Sarfaraz Ahmed should be kept in the Pakistani team for his wicket-keeping and batting skills and not as a skipper in any of the three forms after Pakistan’s dismal performance in the Cricket World Cup 2019.
Akhtar, who bowled the fastest ball till date has stated in an interview: “He should be used for his wicket-keeping and batting skills. No way should he continue as captain of the team. He should not be the captain in any format.”
Speedstar has unveiled his pick for Sarfaraz Ahmed’s replacement during an interview where he said: “Haris Sohail should be made the captain. He should captain the side in ODIs and T20Is. They should test him (Babar Azam) in Test cricket. I wish him the best. He has scored a lot of runs,”.
After poor performance of Pakistan in World Cup 2019, Sarfaraz Ahmed has denied to step down from captain’s role. Pakistan Cricket Board will likely to make decision over his future in upcoming days.
