Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma ruled out of the remainder of the New Zealand tour with calf injury. Sharma took injury in fifth and final game of the T20I series where he was looking good in Mount Maunganui on Sunday. The batsman was on 54 at the time, and was looked by the team’s physio on the field.
At that time right-hander decided to continue with bat. But after hitting a six off Ish Sodhi bowling, he was forced to retire hurt on 60. He will miss the ODI series, followed by a two-match Test series against Kiwis.
