Pakistan pick Umar Akmal, Ahmed Shehzad for T20Is against Sri Lanka
Pakistan have named a 16-men squad for T20I series against Sri Lanka starting from October 5 in Lahore. Opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad and hard hitting batsman Umar Akmal have been recalled by Pakistan for three-match home series.
Pakistan have made three changes to the T20I squad from the squad for ODIs against Sri Lanka. Ahmed Shehzad, who appeared in a T20I for Pakistan in June 2018 against Scotland made his comeback to the side along wtih Umar Akmal and Faheem Ashraf.
Akmal was last seen in Pakistan’s uniform in September 2016 against the West Indies in a T20I match while Ashraf last played for Pakistan in a five-match away ODI series against England in May this year.
Imam-ul-Haq was left out due to an injury which he sustained on his left-hand while there was not any room for Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez.
