Jumanji: The Next Level is all set to lead the weekend box office charts as the holiday season begins. The sequel to the surprise blockbuster hit of 2017, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which was released just before festive season of Christmas in 2017 and went on to collect over $400 million in domestic market, is expected to earn decent at box office.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is serving as Sony’s biggest domestic grosser of all-time. The sequel is coming a week before the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which will give Dwayne Johnson’s film a gigantic task to fight against. The first Jumanji was launched after the release of The Last Jedi two years ago.
There are solid expectations for Sony’s Jumanji 2’s debut weekend of around $40-45 million from over 4,200 theaters in North America. Jumanji: The Next Level also stars, other than Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Jack Black and Nick Jonas and is all set to enjoy a decent run at the box office.
