Box Office: ‘The Lion King’ enjoys record Tuesday with $30.34 million

The Lion King added another $30.39 million on Tuesday. The film witnessed a 44% jumps from Monday ($21 million). This is the third-biggest non-opening Tuesday of all time just behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($38 million) and Avengers: Endgame ($33 million) and it’s the biggest non-opening Tuesday ever in the month of July.

Now that brings film’s domestic total to $243.2 million in just five days. The Lion King is coming after a whopping $192 million debut and should enter its second Friday with $280+ million. Film worldwide total now stands at $595.1, excluding whatever it has earned in weekdays in overseas.
