Box Office: De De Pyaar De ends 2nd week on a good note

Ajay Devgn-Tabu-Rakul Pareet starrer had a good 2nd week at box office. Film remained very strong in 2nd weekend and stable in weekdays. That helped movie to gain more money in 2nd week. Total of De De Pyaar De has now reached 84.49 crores.

The film though won’t be able to cross the 100-crore mark but 95 crore lifetime total is on the cards. This is very good result considering film’s poor opening day. Rom-Com drama has remained strong in its first 14 days. Ajay Devgn’s movie has still 5 days to earn some more crores before the biggest release of the year happens, Bharat. It is almost certain the film will not earn any good amount because of the Salman Khan‘s festive time at the box office.

Bharat is ready to set box office on fire on Wednesday (possibly Eid falls on that day). De De Pyaar De box office will be damaged because of the Cricket World Cup too. World Cup 2019 in England already started yesterday. India will play their first game on June 5 – the same day when Bharat will arrive – against South Africa.

After the Baadshaho debacle, Ajay Devgn have four hits in a row, Golmaal Again (2017), Raid (2018), Total Dhamaal (2019) and his latest film De De Pyaar De (2019). During this period only Akshay Kumar (6) has more hits than him in the Bollywood. Ajay Devgn will next be seen in Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior, which is slated to release on January 10, 2020.
