Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out f the ongoing day-night Perth Test against New Zealand with hamstring injury. Not just that the pacer is in doubt for the boxing day Test match as well.
Hazlewood pulled up after sending down just 1.2 overs on day 2 against the Kiwis. He left the field immediately from the field and did not return for the rest of day’s play. MRI scans confirmed the right-hander had a left hamstring strain which means he won’t be able to take further part as a bowler in the pink ball Test.
“Overnight MRI [scans] confirmed a left hamstring strain, a CA spokesman said. “He will not bowl for the remainder of this test, may bat if required. Recovery to be monitored in coming weeks.”
